Islamic Daycare Management System

Overview

The Daycare Management System is a web-based platform designed to streamline daily childcare operations, from student enrollment and attendance tracking to financial management and parent communication.

Built for Islamic Daycare in Jawa Timur, the application brings multiple operational workflows into a unified platform with dedicated interfaces for administrators, finance staff, teachers, caregivers, and parents.

The system is designed to reduce repetitive administrative tasks, improve information accessibility, and support more organized childcare management.

The Challenge

Managing a daycare involves coordinating multiple interconnected activities, including student records, daily attendance, childcare reports, financial transactions, and communication with parents.

Without an integrated system, these processes can become fragmented, requiring repetitive data entry and making information difficult to track across different roles.

The challenge was to develop a centralized platform that accommodates these workflows while remaining practical and accessible for users with different technical backgrounds.

The Solution

I developed a full-stack daycare management platform that integrates administrative, educational, and financial workflows into a single application.

The platform provides role-based dashboards tailored to the responsibilities of each user, allowing staff and parents to access relevant information and perform their tasks through a consistent interface.

01 Enrollment & Student Management

Centralized student profiles, online registration, enrollment approval, and student record management.

02 Attendance & Daily Activities

Daily attendance tracking and childcare reports covering activities, meals, rest periods, and student development.

03 Daily Report & Learning Progress

Structured tracking of Quran learning activities and student progress, supporting documentation and communication with parents.

04 Financial Management

Invoice generation, payment tracking, transaction records, and administrative financial monitoring.

05 Staff & Payroll Management

Staff management and payroll workflows, including salary components, attendance-based overtime calculations, deductions, and printable salary slips.

06 Parent Dashboard & Communication

A dedicated parent dashboard to view children's daily reports, manage invoices, and communicate directly with daycare staff through in-app messaging.

07 Role-Based Access Control

Separate interfaces and configurable access permissions for administrators, finance staff, teachers, caregivers, and parents.

08 Progressive Web App

A responsive, PWA-ready interface designed to support access across desktop and mobile devices.

09 Simple Web Analytics & Other feature

A centralized dashboard to manage website content, track system activities through audit logs, and monitor key metrics such as website visits and registration activity.

My Contributions

As a Full-Stack Developer, I worked on the application's implementation across the frontend, backend, and database layers.

My contributions included:

• Developing responsive interfaces and role-specific dashboards.
• Designing and implementing relational database structures using PostgreSQL and Prisma.
• Building application workflows such as enrollment, attendance, billing, and student management.
• Implementing authentication, authorization, and role-based access controls.
• Developing financial features, including payroll calculations and salary-slip generation.
• Integrating application features with backend services and persistent data storage.
• Conducting application validation, build checks, and functional testing.

Outcome

It demonstrates my experience developing full-stack applications with complex business logic, relational data models, permission-based workflows, and responsive interfaces designed around practical user needs.

Beyond technical implementation, the project strengthened my approach to translating operational requirements into maintainable software solutions.
